Oh this is hysterical, and as a mom to a 6-month-old who has yet to sleep through the night in her crib, and is an early riser (only on weekends--when I have to wake her at 6am for day care she is all pissy), I can appreciate it! For me, I usually go the route of holding in my pee in the wee hours (pun intended). At night after she goes to sleep, there is a "if it's yellow, let it mellow" rule. Upon my mother's suggestion, we recently purchased the Homedics white noise machine, which is kept on pounding rain all night long, and that seems to help somewhat. Except when our upstairs neighbors who use walkers and fail to carpet their floors choose to walk around at all hours of the night. Oh the joys.
